The incognito duo entered the compartment safely, finally revealing the final sacramental room in front of them. Through the slightly ajar door, the two aliens could already note the room’s guards gathered in a circle, standing in a position to move out at any moment. In the middle of the chamber, there were lowly servants carefully adjusting the decorations around the throne that dominated the atmosphere. Below its golden presence, four bulky aliens adorned with ritual armor stood in position, one hand each preparing to lift an individual corner. The beautiful armor itself was covered in intricate and gilded engraving, and, whilst Gijo was still a distance away, they could presume the design alluded to the coming of “the wisened one” to their star system. On top of the lavishly decorated throne was the target itself, Darwizzy, contrastingly dressed in a very simplistic silken robe. The dark beige garb of Darwizzy contrasted with the pale skin of the creature, gently covering his body like a shroud, light as air. The false deity, though, seemed to be quite uninterested in everything around him. His pitch-black eyes on the door instead, no particular emotion highlighting itself on his pale and skinny face. Despite the psychic noise of all present, Gijo could somehow detect all the alien wanted was to be done with all of this nonsense, seemingly tired of the extravagance. Regardless of this surprise, they had a mission to complete and so took their eyes away from the creature, slyly walking in and finding their place among other guards.
Meanwhile, Ultratie and a few other select aliens were making their way into the compartment as the last group to join the guard brigade. As they were slowly marching, Ultratie caught his eyes on something in his peripheral: a pedestal in the artifact room was empty. He remembered this specific casing clearly as the one supposed to house an experimental weapon gifted to Darwizzy. A dagger equipped with a smaller-scale warp device capable of distorting time with its gravitational waves. And it was missing. This could not be the case, he thought. There was no one with access to this casing except the owner of the dagger, a man he did so trust not to speak. Even Darwizzy himself could not open it, and yet here it was, empty. This was bad news for everyone, the sheer ramifications of this device being stolen meaning that the guards needed to delay the entire religious event. It meant that the entire temple got infiltrated by someone at least. Ultratie, as one of the chief guards in that event, immediately raised the alarms and went on a patrol within the temple, desperately searching for the infiltrator. Red lights shone everywhere, and sirens were activated across the temple, warning every guardsman inside and near the periphery of the foreboding event. This was both bad news for the couple inside the temple, and possibly a golden opportunity. Yaboy heard the alarms vaguely, but it was enough for him to understand that something went awry. He could not use the communication device to the hidden duo in fear it could give away their position, therefore making the decision instead that he needed to move closer to the entrance to lend a helping hand if needed.
At the same time, Austin was outside waiting for both the guards and the duo to get out of the temple, marching towards the square. The time was already due, but there was no motion from the temple, just a certain disarray within the crowd stirring that filled the square. This worried Austin more, now also slightly infuriated at the possibility that their place was revealed and the team members lost. He could not reach out to Zay and Gijo and risk being discovered, also knowing that Yaboy would want him to stay at the vantage point. But he simply could not wait any longer. Austin quickly leapt away from the rock he was leaning on to get down the hill. He pushed through the pilgrims that were oblivious of what was going on inside the temple, and quickly slid down the hill of gravel to the square while maintaining his invisibility. Yaboy knew that Austin would try something out of the plan in this inauspicious turn of events and immediately tried to contact him through his device, “Hello, Austin… Austin, can you hear me? Austin, listen! We need to… damn it.” Yaboy could not see Austin, but he could see a cloud of dust and flung pieces of gravel moving down the closest hill. Yaboy could not just interfere with him as it was already quite possible that Gijo and Zay were compromised, Austin now putting all their lives and the operation in jeopardy.
The guards quickly rallied out of Darwizzy’s chamber, scouring through every nook and cranny of the temple trying to find the infiltrator. Even though Zay and Gijo were quite worried that they would be compromised immediately, if they left the temple, then it would mean that the operation would unconditionally fail. Zay and Gijo were the ones to leave the compartment last, with others quickly rushing out of place to look for the perpetrator. Even the ritual guards meant to carry the throne began gearing up to search. Zay quickly connected to Yaboy and briefed him before anyone would come back and hear the discussions, “Things are going south. They must have found Bigio. Alarms are going off. We have no other chances but to either perform the plan immediately or get out without the target.” Yaboy knew that this theft could easily be used as a casus belli by the zealot council to wage war against the renegades. They were indeed between a rock and a hard place, no other option presenting itself for the team but to complete the mission regardless of what was happening around them. Yaboy sighed and gave the final command, “You both know what to do: get him home. But wait for my signal. I need to do something first.” Zay and Gijo first looked at the alien sitting on the throne and then looked at each other, giving a final nod. They waited patiently for the signal, regrouping with four other guards that walked back to protect Darwizzy and help him get out safely.
Yaboy had a plan ready before the duo in the temple exfiltrated with Darwizzy. Now more than ever, he needed a distraction to get Ultratie and other guards away from Zay and Gijo to open a safer exit path. Unknowing of his status, Yaboy contacted Austin, a panting breath being heard over the communication. “Austin, I know that you want to take part in this, but listen: You must do what I am going to tell you, alright?” Austin was running towards the square. “I will do whatever it takes to tackle the guards. I am coming!” Yaboy then responded quickly, “I know, so listen to me. I will be moving outside the main square. Find me there. Do not get out of your invisibility. I will hand you an EMP bomb that will disable all communications in the area, both for us and the enemy. I will also give you another explosive. It does not work with electricity; you will simply time it to explode right after the EMP bomb. You need to go far away from me, to the corner beyond, to set the bombs. Understood?” Austin was finally thrilled to see such an instruction coming from Yaboy. It was time to possibly get some revenge on the zealots, the bomb inevitably vandalizing this temple they regard so dearly. “Yes sir, all clear.” In the chaos that had started to ensue as pilgrims noticed Darwizzy was late, they both quickly made it to the rendezvous point, Austin taking the bomb and quickly moving to the target spot. Yaboy made a final contact to all of the talking devices on the field, “Listen up. I have set up one final act. One that's hopefully going to give us some more time. On my signal we secure the target and get out fast. No compromises. Communication is about to go down, so I cannot keep track of everyone from this point. Keep sharp, improvise only if necessary, and get out. Good luck.”
With that he gave the signal to Austin, static white noise now piercing through the earpieces of the device. Just on time, a massive boom penetrated the atmosphere, seemingly originating from a corner of the temple. Some of the temple walls came down with the explosion, and it set fire to some of the decorations, a rampant fire now quickly spreading towards the inner parts of the square. The once relatively relaxed pilgrim gathering had now begun panicking, acting as a wave of distress charging to escape the coming flames. Contrastingly, it was all bedlam in the temple, no one knowing what was happening with all of the pilgrims running for their lives in utter chaos. As expected, Ultratie was there to check the area of the explosion. He was floating in the sky right under the light rays of the eternal noon like some savior figure, then slowly descending towards the fire that was spreading from the explosion. He began carefully checking every area of the temple that he could see from up here, now concerned his lack of knowledge on the infiltrator had allowed this horrific attack. Austin, on the other hand, quickly ran away from the area as soon as he set up the explosives, and now was trying to regroup with Yaboy. There was one limitation to his invisibility, though; aliens could not maintain invisibility forever. Even though individuals with such mutations had a more suitable crystal lattice structure to reflect light from their scales, they also heavily relied on electromagnetic fields from their cells to create a barrier of bending light accordingly. The subcutaneous cells generating the light-bending electromagnetic field consumed quite a bit of energy, and even the aliens that mastered its technique could face massive fatigue or collapse from lack of energy if they excessively used it. Austin was getting aware of this with each second, as he was getting more tired with each step, his vision going slightly blurry and his legs slowly starting to give up on him. He had been invisible for hours at this point after all. He had no choice but to disable his invisibility and recover some of his energy and breath. However, with Austin being a fervorous young alien, he needed to do it with a bang.
Back inside the temple, Zay and Gijo were ready to perform their task upon receiving the signal, shaken up by the echoes from the explosion but ready to ‘fill in’ for the distracted guards. It was the golden opportunity. It was time. Zay quickly leapt backward with immaculate footwork, maintaining his balance while also drawing his axe from his back. He aligned his blade so cleanly that he instantly beheaded three of the four guards and two of the aliens responsible for carrying the cart before anyone could even react. Simultaneously, Gijo landed an uppercut on the guard near him, knocking him out cold before quickly dashing in flight to land a hook on the two other aliens responsible for carrying the cart. Zay looked up to stare at the remaining workers intimidatingly, the aliens holding their screams and quickly running to a corner to feel safe. Following the incapacitation of all of his personnel, Darwizzy finally reached a conclusion about what happened around him. It looked like a massacre. The floor was painted cyan, alien blood gushing out of the guards. Darwizzy slowly turned to the duo in terror, and spoke with a trembling voice, “You, you are not a part of them. What is it that you seek… from me? My, my body? No! Please, no!” Gijo quickly responded, “Fear not, we are not here to kill you for now. You are coming with us; we are getting you out.” Darwizzy was confused. “For now? For NOW? Blah, alright. I have no other choice, it seems. Do what you must.” Darwizzy accepted his fate, no matter what it was, since there was nothing he could physically do to resist these aliens, plus an escape from these obsessive worshippers wasn’t such a distasteful idea. Gijo quickly got Darwizzy strapped to his back, thereby producing an additional bonus of not being shot in the back. He felt slightly bad for using Darwizzy as some sort of meat shield, but it was a ‘necessary evil.’
Gijo also grabbed Zay out of the compartment and flew towards the main gate, fearing this exit was the only escape now with the poor structural integrity of the building. He boosted forward with a gentle acceleration, just enough to catapult Zay with the axe in his hands towards the guards on his way. Zay made an arcing slash sideways as he was hurled towards the guards, flying through the gunshots aimed at him and the flying kidnapper. He quickly culled through the guards as he landed on the ground and slid across the floor with his move. Quickly, he drew his pistol to shoot down some of the guards right at the gate, carving out an easier passage for the team with bullets. Gijo provided aerial support as beams of heat shot from his eyes. Internally, he shuddered as he did this, upset at the needless death but accepting there was no other choice before he would get overwhelmed by gunfire. Then, as Zay was quickly running towards the exit with his axe in one hand and his pistol in the other, Gijo caught a glimpse of a reflection coming towards their direction. From his time during this religious war, he knew it was the light reflected from the scope of a sniper rifle, now seemingly aimed at Zay. He quickly got Darwizzy from his back and wrapped his arms around him, tightly pushing him towards his chest. “Hold tight!” and he flew as fast as he could towards the reflection just outside the gate. His suspicion was confirmed as he got closer, shouldering the sniper and knocking the gun out of his hand, sending the sniper flying across the rooftop. Gijo caught the rifle midair as he flew forward, a sense of improvisation coming over him. Using the rifle instead of his fists could provide cover support for Zay, also protecting their… sensitive package from any crossfire.
Zay quickly got out of the temple, wondering where his duo had flown to, a sense of anxiety washing over him as he realized he could have been left behind. Just as he was looking around for a new way to escape, a bullet flew past his head, followed by a searing crimson burst. Looking down behind him, Zay now saw the decimated body of a guard, one who was clearly about to catch him. The anxiety disappearing, Zay silently thanked his new team member, using the cover of this sniper to blend into the panicked crowd with his shapeshifting. He made it out of the square’s gate safely, trying to reach the shuttle and find the rest of the team.
Gijo, on the other hand, was also flying swiftly towards the shuttle. However, unlike Zay, he was an open target, having to endure regular gunfire from the growing security made aware of his presence. Noting another reflection from a tower below, he prepared himself to be hit when, all of a sudden, a feral-like alien appeared, tackling down the guard below and violently stabbing them to death. It was Austin. Whilst he knew of the mission, he could not simply leave this misguided youth behind. The constant gunshots slowly turned to Gijo’s feet and hips, not piercing his bulletproof skin but trying to take him down from the pain at least. Gijo quickly took the decision to save the crazed teammate below, turning his back and making a sweeping cut with his laser vision at the tower. As he was about to follow the beam of heat, he suddenly halted when he saw another figure come out of the group of running pilgrims towards Austin.
Yaboy charged through the panicked crowd, eyes focused ahead on Austin, who was now targeting the regular civilians with his dagger. In the wild dash, the leader pinned the feral alien down. “STOP! WE NEED TO GET OUT, NOW!” He looked around for any guards before continuing, “If you cannot put down this pride and follow me now, you will die here! Not only that, but you will put all of us and thus the entire galaxy in danger. Do you think the weight of death will leave your mind? It won’t. Now breathe and follow me.” Austin's eyes slowly focused as his panting reduced alongside it. He could feel the exhaustion from his power wash over him as the urge to fight withdrew itself. Not even able to bring his mouth to speak, he slightly nodded, grasping the now standing leader’s hand and getting up. As they tried to move away through the crowd, a pair of guards appeared in front of them. Austin then broke Yaboy’s hold on him, trying to leap at the guards. However, he was not fast enough; a whirring buzz shot past, piercing the skulls of the guards in one shot. Looking to their right, they saw none other than Bigio.
Bigio looked at the others for a short time and gave a slight nod, an indicator of their side, before quickly going invisible again. Meanwhile, Gijo was reassured and feeling slightly better after seeing Austin and Yaboy safe from the immediate guards. With little time to bathe in this assurance, the floating alien heard a booming sound behind him akin to a sonic boom. Turning his head sharply, he could see a figure was quickly moving towards him. Just before contact was made from the flying silhouette, the outfit and face gave a clear sign to the owner: Ultratie. Gijo, whilst now knowing his identity, was not fast enough to evade the flying jab towards him, the supersonic punch sending him flying meters away. Quickly regaining his balance, he reassured himself of Darwizzy’s safety and searched for the rapid attacker. A strike from the right shot through the air, nearly clipping Gijo’s cheek but just missing due to the defending aliens’ now-readied positioning. The two flying aliens came to face each other in the air. Gijo could see their mind and its pure rage, the dedication of the zealots highlighted in its rawest form. Before any words could be spoken, Ultratie speared towards Gijo, firmly grasping him by the shoulders and not letting him go, spiraling them towards the ground. Gijo shouted without hesitation, “You have forced my hand, Ultratie. Let me go, or you will face the same fate as your guards! Don’t make me do this!” Ultratie was immediately infuriated, his eyes full of an ardent flame and his hands trembling from the anger. “I will NOT YIELD until you get your dirty hands off the wisened one. I will not stop, until every single one of you IS DEAD!”
Ultratie hastily pushed Gijo away, briefly stunning him. He charged again, trying to grasp the wisened one, but in his haste he misjudged the situation, and a punch to the left side of his head sent him to the ground like a wrecking ball. Down below in the chaotic crowd, the group could see the ensuing commotion in the sky. When Ultratie barreled towards the ground, Zay realized his opportunity to make a difference. Throwing away his robe and getting out of the crowd, he drew his pistol to fire a few rounds at Ultratie. Upon seeing this, the crowd began to panic even more, splitting and running away from the armed alien. This slight gap in the sea of faces allowed the recovering Ultratie to see his oncoming attacker. He got up and hurled himself towards Zay with fury, crushing his pistol with his bare hands. Simultaneously, Zay rotated outwards from the attacker, quickly drawing his axe with his utmost strength. The blade came swinging down behind Ultratie. However, just as contact was about to be made, the guards’ plated forearms came to meet the executioner's weapon, putting the fighters in a standoff. In an effort to break this, Zay quickly made a twisting move that pushed Ultratie into empty air, making him lose his footing. As he fell back to the floor, Zay delivered a critical blow to Ultratie’s back, deeply cutting him and sending a spray of blood across the gravelled floor. But it was for naught. Ultratie now only looked angrier than before and quickly launched Zay, his axe flying meters away from him with a swipe of his arm. Gijo wanted to use his heat vision to damage Ultratie even further, but he had been preoccupied with defending Zay’s position from the ensuing guards from the temple. This hesitation was the opening Ultratie needed, and he quickly landed an uppercut that incapacitated Gijo enough to let Ultratie try his second chance to get onto Darwizzy. In the last second, Yaboy from below quickly hurled one of the guard's electric daggers from a nearby body, landing the dagger right on Ultratie’s wound. He got zapped and roared in pain as he landed on the ground, now seemingly incapacitated as his head bounced off the ground. Darwizzy, during all of this combat, had gotten dizzy from all of the shockwaves and swift movements, but the shocking dagger had some area of effect, which made it lightly zap Darwizzy’s hand, waking him up in pain. Gijo came to his senses again, reflecting on the now-defeated warrior. Letting out a breath of relieved air, the time for relaxation was shortly passed as he began to see a commotion in the near distance. Unfortunately for the renegades, this was none other than a wall of guards forming near the area where shuttles were parked.
Gijo hastily flew near Yaboy, Zay, and Austin, who were running cover to cover to escape from the gunfire. Knowing their options were running low, he had one last plan in his mind to save everyone and fulfill their original plan. He quickly got Darwizzy out of his back harness one last time, holding him tight near his chest, “I am sorry, you have to hold on tight again.” Darwizzy was indifferent despite all the stress and fear he endured, “Get over it and do what you must.” Hearing this semi-permission, Gijo quickly got out to grasp and firmly hug the remaining renegades together with the wisened one. It was all that he could grab, with the sniper rifle being holstered behind his back instead of the creature. “Be ready, everyone. One final push!” and he dashed towards the shuttle as fast as he could, carrying everyone while flying fast enough to not get hit by gunfire. Barreling through the landscape, they eventually landed on the ground right in front of the shuttle, now past the wall that closed off the docking area. He quickly released everyone, and Gijo collapsed down, now exhausted from the use of his unique abilities for so long. He was panting uncontrollably, and the gunshots came closer and closer to the shuttle, the guard's defensive position now charging backwards toward them. Yaboy and Zay took Gijo on their shoulders, trying to help him walk out to the shuttle, now in clear sight. As the exhausted aliens struggled through the various obstacles, they noticed the gunshots slowly ceased to exist. Turning around to see what was happening, the aliens could see the familiar blue flash again, now striking through the oncoming forces.
Bigio was using his time dagger to cause time dilation, making him phase shift quick enough to cut through one target at a time. This made him move at almost relativistic speeds momentarily, and no guard was able to react to him. There was a limit to this power, but as an effective fighter, the alien feared no such barrier. As he finalized the last of the force, Bigio united with the group. There was still a large force of enemies charging towards their position, but these other guards were not fast enough to catch up with the team, and their gunfire felt this distance. Bigio quickly jumped in and helped Gijo move to the ship. “We indeed have a common goal, dear councillor. Topple these zealot bastards as soon as possible. Until then, I am at your service. We will not yield as long as we are together.” It looked like he was serious this time, overcoming the skepticism that each team member had prior. They quickly closed the doors, and activated the shuttle. The engines rumbled, and the team quickly lifted off the ground, Gijo now having been escorted to the tiny medbay. Down at the docks, the aliens prepared anti-air artillery to shoot the shuttle in a last-ditch effort, but it was already outside their range. Even from the relative safety of the shuttle, the renegades could hear the screaming and shouting from below as the zealots realized their wisened one was one step closer to leaving. Things, however, were not over for the team.
Ultratie eventually got out of the effects of the shocking dagger, gathering himself together. He saw the flash of the shuttle leaving the planet and felt his blood boil and veins pop. He growled with intense flame, breathing violently before preparing for a massively powerful takeoff. He then yelled as much as he could, a nonsensical scream like a roaring beast, and took off the ground with his utmost strength. He disrupted so much dust and stone that it looked like someone set off a bomb from the shuttle’s windows. Ultratie spearheaded towards the shuttle, moving well above supersonic speeds. As the ship nearly reached its destination for the warp drive, a rumbling sound reverberated within the shuttle, the back of the shuttle bending with a sudden metal creaking sound. The tactical hit had impacted the ship so hard that he pushed it out of its designated route in space. Ultratie then tried to pry the airlock behind the ship open like a frenzied beast, clawing at the hinges and bellowing to let the wisened one go. Yaboy took on a gamble, and told the team to open the gates to allow him in, preferring a close combat fight over the potential destruction of the ship.
Yaboy got Darwizzy to a safe compartment just as they opened the airlock to let Ultratie in. Ultratie was confused initially, but his fury quickly took over, and he dashed into the ship towards the now hobbling olympian Gijo. Gijo and Ultratie wrestled for a while, before Austin tried to take out his dagger, the feral nature of his earlier breakdown now coming close to the surface once more. Before he could release this anger, he realized that he had forgotten the dagger inside the dead guard on the planet, and instead had to retreat and watch as Zay instead charged with his axe. Ultratie pushed Gijo out of the way and swiped his arm to hit the oncoming Zay, knocking the axe out of his hand and hurling him away from the team. He then immediately stepped on Gijo’s loosened sniper, flattening it, and then immediately gave a threatening look to Austin. After that, he quickly turned to Yaboy and growled at him, before sending forth a flurry of punches. Yaboy was quick to dodge three of the punches, but the fourth landed on his chest, winding him and sending him crashing into the medbay wall. Simultaneously, Zay had recovered, now attacking Ultratie with the assistance of Bigio. While Zay’s arching axe blow was stopped by Utlratie holding the axe’s handle swiftly, Bigio managed to stab Ultratie twice before Ultratie could turn his attention. The pain initially slowed Ultratie down, which allowed Bigio to comfortably dodge some attacks and stab him one more time, but he regained his speed and began relentlessly throwing punches, forcing Bigio to use his time dilation ability to dodge on the defensive.
Bigio could only dodge for a while, as his dagger’s charge ran out. However, in the stress of the moment, the thief did not reflect on this, and he tried to use it one last time. This resulted in him receiving a powerful punch from Ultratie, knocking him to the ground, writhing in pain. Just as soon as Bigio took the punch, Zay landed another clean hit on Ultratie’s hip, forcing him to kneel. Zay quickly took the blade out of his enemy’s body, making a gaping wound that was deep enough to severely hinder Ultratie’s combat capabilities. Just as Zay was about to land a critical blow, he got pushed by Ultratie, hitting the shuttle’s control panels and sending sparks flying everywhere. Gijo then quickly came to help, holding the guard’s arms steady. Ultratie broke out of his hold and tried to counterattack, but Gijo caught his fist midair and headbutted him. Yaboy, who was just able to recover his breath, took out his net device and launched it at Ultratie. He got entangled in the net but only for a short while, furiously tearing the net asunder, and again grappling Zay, who was trying to cut him down. Ultratie headbutted Zay, discombobulating him, and quickly shouldered Gijo, pushing him back before he could even land a blow. Yaboy, seeing that he only had his dagger left after using all of his gadgets, rushed at Ultratie. The attacking guard prepared a hook, but Yaboy slid right under it, landing a cut on Ultratie’s belly and then stabbing his back. Ultratie screamed in agony, pushing Yaboy back and taking out the knife, only for Gijo to slam him with both of his arms, stunning Ultratie for a brief moment. Yaboy then landed a flurry of punches on the struggling attacker, none missing as the target struggled to stand. Yaboy beat Ultratie’s face pretty hard, blood flying out of his mouth and spraying the wall like a painting. Gijo then landed a blow on Ultratie’s wounded belly, making him yell in pain.
Gijo managed to grapple the utterly wounded Ultratie successfully, as the alien was finally too drained and weakened to resist the renegades. He stretched Ultratie’s arms to the back, incidentally exposing his chest and neck for a fatal blow, now exhausted from this relentless combat. Zay walked towards Ultratie to land a blow to kill the alien, but Yaboy’s sound reverberated across the room, “Enough!”. He then continued, “We cannot end up like the zealots in pursuit of our own beliefs! He is already weakened enough. He is incapable now. Killing him would make us no better than the zealots who denied our kin any chance. We finally have the chance to leave all the bloodshed behind and finally, finally talk…” All the other members got themselves together, and looked at Yaboy. Ultratie grunted, and he was reluctant to cooperate still. “I do not need your mercy, nor your lectures. Finish me already.” Gijo tapped into Ultratie’s mind and then reported back to Yaboy, “It seems that we have a long way ahead of us to convince him otherwise. It is in our best interests to at least restrain him.” Yaboy nodded, “Do so then.”
With the battle now over, it was finally time for the team to decide on what to do with Darwizzy. Zay slammed the button on the wall, sending the automatic door flying open to reveal the hidden wisened one. Darwizzy walked out slowly, afraid, and confused. He first looked at Yaboy’s face as the renegade leader spoke, “What do you all think we should be doing with him? I think that...” He was interrupted, as Austin quickly lunged at Darwizzy, grappling him with his arms ready to snap his tiny neck, “Oh, I know what to do. It is our shining moment, to indeed end all of this! We need to get rid of this scum, like the vermin he is!” Darwizzy tried to crawl out, but he did not have the strength. “What, what are you doing! That was not in our deal! You were not going to kill me—were you?!” Zay then slowly drew his axe and brought its edge on Darwizzy’s neck, saying, “As of then. Now we are in the shuttle, and we get to decide your fate as we wish.” Darwizzy was panting out of fear and desperation, while Gijo tried to speak to Austin, “No, no, this is not the way. We cannot be like the zealots killing for a blind cause.” Austin retaliated, “A blind cause? Is that all you have to say? Our kind died like pigs in their hands, all because of this disgusting creature. He needs to die!” Yaboy then intervened, lightly pushing Zay’s axe away, “Gijo is right, we cannot do this. Please, Austin, let him free. Let me talk.” Austin, then reluctantly left the creature free, as Austin was grunting and growling.
Yaboy went on to explain, “None of this is his fault; I can see that. I was there when we first found Darwizzy on a rocky hill. He did not want any of us; he seeks only introspection, for something that he is yet to know about. We do not know either, but it matters not. All that matters is that Darwizzy did not choose this life for himself, nor did he wish all of this bloodshed on others. We are going to show this to everyone if Darwizzy himself is inclined. And then, you will be free to live on your planet, in fact anywhere that you can want from us, all alone by yourself as you wish. We seek no harm, no reverence from you. Are you willing to collaborate with us aliens one last time to get rid of this madness plaguing us and give you the freedom that you always wished for?” Everyone in the room calmed down and abided by Yaboy’s saying. Even Austin was calmed down, who still wanted to kill the creature and the zealots nevertheless. Darwizzy collected himself, and calmly replied, albeit in a somber tone, “I wish for more than freedom. I wish not to be imprisoned in this feeble body as this disgusting creature. But I guess none of you can change that, so I am thankful for your wishes nevertheless. For that, I can help you get rid of this madness that plagues us both. Freedom and solitude is not what I need, but it should suffice at least.” Yaboy was pleased to see the alien being cooperative. Ultratie, now bound and chained to the wall, was confused at his deity's words, starting to dive into deeper thoughts. Zay and Gijo couldn’t help but smile as they saw this reaction. Austin, on the other hand, was still filled with hate towards the creature, but he now trusted Yaboy more than ever as the mission was successful.
As everything was done, they went to the control panel, and readied the warp drive back home. Things were seemingly smooth, but something went wrong in the ship as levers were pulled and buttons were pressed. It started to shake violently, the lights flickered, and electric sparks came out of the cables. It seemed that Ultratie’s initial impact harmed the ship on a deeper level, not only damaging the engines, but also severely harming the experimental warp device. The warping device bent space and time excessively in the wrong direction, causing the entire crew to experience gravitational time distortions around them, utter panic and confusion now radiating within the confined chamber. As the reality in the ship seemed to shift, the warping device bent time and space so much that instead of traveling a few light-years, the crew got out of the middle of “Eridanus Supervoid” and ended up in a star system hundreds of millions of light-years away. On top of all of the warp mishaps, the engines started failing from all of the gravitational instability, and the shuttle that was adrift in space finally got captured by the gravity of another planet nearby, slowly being dragged in. The crew finally crash-landed on the planet, shaking everyone violently one last time. The technology and design of the ship protected them all from larger injuries, but at the cost of its entire integrity. The rear door slowly creaked, falling off as intolerable light bound into the ship all at once. As Yaboy cautiously left, trying to see where they landed, it became apparent that this place was like no other place that they had seen before. It was teeming with life. Green vegetation spread far and wide, and some small furry animals crawled nearby. There were even flying creatures singing as they flew. Everyone was quite confused about everything but one sure fact. They were stranded.
